2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information depending on the service you use:
- Personal details: Name, email address, WhatsApp number
- Academic details: Stream, percentage/marks, class, school (for report products)
- Category information: APST/ST/OBC/General category (for report products)
- Location: District/town in Arunachal Pradesh
- Goals and preferences: Career interests, exam goals
- Newsletter subscription: Name and email address for daily newsletter delivery
- Payment information: Processed and stored securely by Razorpay — we do not store payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to:
- Generate your personalised AI report and deliver it to your email
- Send your daily newsletter subscription to your email address
- Manage your subscription status (active, cancelled, expired)
- Provide customer support if you contact us
- Improve our database and AI model accuracy (anonymised data only)
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing without your explicit consent.
4. Data Storage
Your form responses are stored in a secure Google Sheets database accessible only to Dawnlit Education's internal team. Your data is retained for up to 12 months, after which it may be anonymised or deleted.
Newsletter subscriber data (name and email) is stored in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email delivery platform. Subscriber data is retained for as long as your subscription is active, and deleted within 30 days of cancellation upon request.
Reports are processed using Claude AI (Anthropic) and OpenAI APIs. Data sent to these APIs is used only for generation and is not stored by these providers beyond the processing request.
5. Third-Party Data Processors
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except the following processors who handle data strictly to deliver our services:
- Razorpay: Payment processing and subscription management (subject to Razorpay's privacy policy)
- Tally: Form data collection for report products
- Brevo (Sendinblue): Email delivery for reports and newsletter
- Google Sheets: Secure storage of form submission data
- Anthropic (Claude API): AI generation for College Finder and UPSC Planner reports
- OpenAI: AI generation for Resume Builder and Newsletter content
- If required by law or a valid legal process
6. Newsletter Subscription & Data
When you subscribe to the Dawnlit Daily Newsletter, your name and email address are added to our Brevo mailing list and your subscription is managed via Razorpay. You will receive one email per day containing the newsletter PDF.
You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at hello@dawnliteducation.in or via WhatsApp. Upon cancellation, your email will be removed from the active mailing list within 48 hours.
7. Cookies
Our website may use basic cookies for functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use our core services.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including secure HTTPS connections, restricted database access, and payment processing via Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant systems. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are intended for students aged 15 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without parental consent, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
